Edgar and Aera lost balance and will almost fall off the cliff.

Ryouga pulls the two. Edgar jumped and he bumped on a tree.

Edgar is seen sitting in front of the tree, with the “Depression Lines” reaction.
Ryouga: Can he take on a joke? (Kare ga jōdan o toru koto wa dekimasu ka?)
Aera: Let's continue... (Soredewa tsudzukemashou...)
Ryouga: You two are really just apprentices who's helping Blaire-san. (Anata wa hontōni Burēzu-san o tasukeruda chōdo jisshū-seidesu.)
Aera: You may be right, but apprentice or not, we’re still craftknights. (Anata wa tadashī koto ga, deshi ka dō ka, wareware wa mada, kurafutonaito da koto ga arimasu.)
Edgar is still there, growing mushrooms.
Aera: What'cha doin' there? (Anata wa soko ni nani o shite iru?)
Edgar: You can see it right now. (Anata wa ima, sore o miru koto ga dekimasu.)

Edgar stops, stands up and goes to Aera.
Ryouga: Leading me there to the Gates of Goura was your promise... (Kanmuribato zoku no gēto ni soko ni watashi o rīdo suru anata no yakusokudatta...)
Aera: Yeah, so? (Un,-sō?)
Ryouga: You're afraid of the seal of Goura? (Anata wa kanmuribato zoku no shīru no osorete iru?)
Aera: I'm not afraid of some seal. (Watashi wa ikutsu ka no shīru o osorete inai yo.)
Edgar: I'm really scared... (Watashi wa hontōni kowai...)
Aera: Huh? Are you scared or just trying to embarrass me? (E~tsu? Anata ga kowagatte iru ka, tan'ni watashi o komara shiyou to shite iru?)

Edgar and Aera goes onto looking at the memento of their father and Ryouga asks if he's not happy staying with Blaire. Edgar says he is happy and Aera says theythinks of Orin and Tatiana just like their own relatives. Ryouga says that he envies them but so does Edgar and Aera since Ryouga's with a beautiful girl named Lynn. Suddenly they hear a voice coming from the direction of Edgar and Aera's old home. So they head on up.
Ryouga: Look. (Mite.)
Edgar: Two people passed out! (Futari wa kizetsu!)
Ryouga: Look carefully. They’re not human! They’re summon creatures! (Shinchō ni kakuninshitekudasai. Karera wa ningende wanai! Karera wa ikimono o shōkan shite iru!)
Aera: Let me guess... The first one is a soldier, and the other one is a girl. (Watashi wa saisho no 1 ga heishideari, mōhitotsu wa on'nanokodesu... Suisoku shite mimashou.)
They head on up.
Aera: I knew it. (Watashi wa sore o shitte imashita.)
Ryouga: The soldier you said is a mechanoid, and the girl is a devil. (Anata ga itta heishi wa, robotto de, shōjo wa akumadearu.)
Edgar: Something must have attacked them. (Nanika ga karera o kōgeki shite iru hitsuyō ga arimasu.)
A weak looking bunny sort of creature pops out. It couldn't be a bunny.
Edgar: That's it? A bunny?! (Sorede oshimai? Banī?!)

Edgar and Aera keep hitting the bunny and the bunny is defeated.
Bunny: Rrrr...
The bunny then runs away.
Edgar: Yeah! Shit yourself! (Un! Jibun o kuso!)
Aera: Shut the fuck up, Edgar. (Seikō, Edogā o shattodaun shimasu.)
Aera: You ok? (Anata wa Daijōbu?)
Mechanoid Soldier: We're fine... (Watashitachi wa īdesu yo...)
Devil Girl: ...
Devil Girl jumps to Edgar. Fangirl...
Devil Girl: EDGAR!!! (Edogā-san!)
Aera and Ryouga have sweatdrops on the back of their heads...
Edgar: AHHH!!! Get her off me! (AHHH! ! ! Watashi kara kanojo o Getto!)
Aera: Sorry. I’m busy. (Gomen'nasai. Watashi wa isogashī nda.)
Aera is playing Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 as herself, of course.
Ryouga is singing a song called “Sweet Romance”.
Aera: Uh-huh. Anyway... What's your name, Mechanoid Soldier? (Funfun. Tonikaku... Anata no namae, Mechanoid heishi wa nanidesu ka?

Mechanoid Soldier: I'm EX-e-LD. That devil girl over there is Dinah. (Watashi wa, EX - E - LD. Asoko no akuma no on'nanoko wa Daina.)
Aera: Nice to meet you. Who are your Masters? (Hajimemashite. Anata no masutāzu wa daredesu ka?)
EX-e-LD: Me and Dinah follow no master now. (Watashi to Daina wa ima wa masutā ni shitagatte inai.)

Behind EX-e-LD is Edgar, chased by Dinah.

Dinah stops.
Dinah: What?!?!?!?! (Nani?!?!?!?!)
Dinah turns into an angel.
Ryouga: What the fuck?! (Nanda ittai?)
Angel Dinah: Okay, we understand. (Sate, watashitachiha rikai shite imasu.)
Edgar: W-What?! (N-Nanika?!)
Angel Dinah: If we were Guardian Beasts and not Summon Creatures, we could stay, but bad luck. (Watashitachiha gādian-jū to shinaiga, kurīchā o shōkan shita baai, wareware wa todomaruga, fuundeshita.)
Dinah comes back to her Devil self.

Chief: I know pronounce EX-e-LD to be Edgar’s guardian beast. Dinah to be Aera’s.

Dinah tries to run away, but is stopped by Aera.
Aera: Hold it!
