Strongest Under Heaven: The First Punch (aka S.U.H) is an anime that was written, directed, and created by Akira Jotaro based off the game Strongest Under Heaven, which was also created by him.

The setting is in the same time and place as the game's setting. The story is a slightly modified version of Hinamori and Ryo's stories put together along with a few of the other characters.

The S.U.H. Tournament was created and owned by Rikuo Saiga, a rich oldman who enjoys fighting. He created the fighting tournament so he could be able to witness great fighters from all over the world and get a chance to fight them. He had only made it that it is only held every 2 years so every fighter who wishes to participate could train for 2 years and be fully prepared for the tournament when it comes to their country.

Hinamori Raikuro is not the average high school girl, she was trained by her father in the way of the Raikuro Style martial arts and had learned to control the electricity in her body as a weapon of fighting, thus, she was given the nickname "Raihime" (meaning: Lightning Princess) for her power to control electricity and her fearsomeness as a fighter. Six years ago, Hinamori's father, Sousuke Raikuro, had been killed in the S.U.H Tournament by a man under the alias, "Tenken" (meaning: Heaven's Fist) at the final round. Now, Hinamori is 16 years old and had joined the tournament along with her childhood rival, Ryo Sakurai, to win the tournament.
