Mahou Gakuen Magica: Memento Mori is an anime that was written, directed, and created by Akira Jotaro as the direct sequel to Mahou Gakuen Magica.

The story is set in the fictional world of Corend, where magic is the source of all things living. The story is about the heroine of the last war meeting someone who looks just like her deceased beloved partner and is once again forced to join a war along with the academy of Magica.

PlotEdit

A year after the war between Healand and Asgrid had ended and Magica Academy was rebuilt, Diva La Charles was still saddened by the death of her beloved partner, Kyr Akizrael, and had drastically lowered her motivation of doing anything but had gained a higher sense of justice. In Diva's magic class, the class was practicing summoning spells and one of the new younger students, Runa Cierro, had wanted to find a way to make her senior, Diva, cheer up from her depression and had remembered a picture she once showed her, and so, Runa had accidentally summoned a person from another world who looks very similar to Kyr. The summoned person was Kira Akiiro, a Japanese boy from Earth. At first, many people had thought that Kira was actually Kyr being brought back to life since they were the same in many ways, their personalities, luck, and looks were almost exactly the same, even the way they had lived their lives were somehow similar. Since Kira was not able to get back to Earth, he was stuck in Corend until the mages of Magica Academy find a way to return him back to his world. As the time passes, the witch, Syren Eilock, had once again joined a country with the desire to conquer and had made them wage war against Healand, once again forcing Magica Academy to lend a helping hand.
