Welcome to the "Mages: The New Age" Role-play series, Mages: The New Age. This RP will take place in the American School for Magical Arts. This is a public school environment with no uniforms, and dormitories. This academy is co-ed, so boys and girls share classes, and if requested, rooms. Here's a guide to the RP:

- Italicized text represents a character's second personality.
- Bolded and Italicized text is an action a character is making.

So, this roleplay will be done by me and my fellow RPers. If you want to join, make a character on this wiki with an ability. Then put a link to your character down in the comments and we will look it over. First, we'll determine if your power is Over-Powered or not. Then, we'll review your character. Afterwards, your character will be modified according to your instruction. Now, let's begin.
American School of Magical Arts![]
We enter with Kai riding an air vehicle to the school alongside many other air vehicles. They land at the giant school entrance and then the doors open to let the students out. They all flood out with lots of noise and chatter and the one of the MC, Kai West, exits the vehicle being shoved. He comes out with a lot of luggage and looks at the new school in amazement. The giant sign in front of the school reads, "Welcome, Young Talented Mages!". The students see this and keep going until they reach an podium with a young, beautiful woman who seems to be the principal standing there.
Mrs. Chambers: Hello new Mages! My name is Priscilla Chambers and I will be your principal for until you leave this school! Hopefully... Some laughter is heard through the crowd Anyways, welcome to the American School of Magical Arts! This school will teach you guys what normal schools teach you, BUT also how to use and harness your magical abilities. This school houses only the best Mages in America and possibly the whole world. So look around you to see your fellow talented peers and see who you're going to be working with from now on! Now before you all hurry and enter, you must retrieve a number for one of the 10 dorm buildings and another for the room number of that building. For now, the rooms are empty since they are new and you will be able to go and customize your rooms all you like, but they are already hooked up with special things which you can all go see after you take a number. Okay? Off you students go and have a wonderful school year with us! All the students start to shuffle around and head for the big bucket filled with keys. Kai West is walking and gets bumped by a couple other kids.
Random Students: Sorry! My bad!
Kai: It's fine! He continues to walk to the podium and grabs a number. He is in dorm building 5 with the 5 floor (the highest floors) and room number 17. Doope. He walks around the campus looking for dorm 5.
Drake Wilson grabs his key for room 3 on the 5th floor of Dorm 3
Drake: Great. He walks looking for his room when he bumps into Kai West
Drake: Watch it.
Kai: Dude! It wasn't my fault, you should look where you're going. Anyway, you good bro?
Drake: Yeah. What's your name?
Kai: Kai West. Mage of Elemental AND Transformation Magic. Heh... And your's? He smiles proudly as he says this.
Drake: Drake Wilson. Mage of Mental Magic.
Kai: *Lame..* Nice to meet you bro. What room did ya get? As he says this he looks around.
Drake: Room 7 of the 2nd floor of Dorm 1.
Kai: Alright, well I got Dorm 5, 5th floor and room 17. I guess I'll see ya around.
Drake: Bye. Walks off *Should I have lied to him or not? He might be one of those show-offs.*
Kai: Runs his hand through his blonde hair then walks off as well through the large crowd
Isaac walks through the crowd of people holding the key to room 16 of dorm building 2 of floor 3.
Isaac: This place oughta be interesting. Puts the key in his pocket as he takes out Hikari and spins it around, then switches to Umbra while holstering Hikari I wonder how life is gonna be. Holsters Umbra as Sedici appears on his back. He then accidentally bumps into Kai as Sedici disappears upon contact with Kai Oops. Sorry. My bad.
Kai: He sighs and mumbles This is the THIRD time... To Isaac It's okay dude, my fault for not looking where I'm going..
Isaac: What was that? Nevermind. It's cool. I'm Isaac, you? Takes his guns out and spins them both around out of boredom
Kai: I'm Kai. Kai West, Elemental and Transformation mage. He says this with great pride. He then takes his gun and examines it. What kinda gun is this?
Isaac: It's not a normal gun. Hikari is a customized M1911 construct that shoots fire. So is Umbra. Holds up the other gun, then takes Hikari back, holstering them as Sedici appears
Kai: Whoa never seen anything like that before. Anyway, that's pretty cool dude. So I guess I'll see you sometime. He leaves to go to his dorm room.
At their dorms[]
Kai enters his room to see a large couch with a 70' Curve HD TV on the wall. He also sees a PlayStation 4® hooked up to it and controllers on top of them.
Kai: Whoa!! He puts all his stuff down next to the couch and looks around to the roomy living area. He then goes to a large corner, next to the hallway to see a huge 4k computer monitor with lots of accessories in the cabinets next to them. He then gets up to go to the hallway on his right and sees a ladder that goes up to the room and the ceiling is curved like an attic with a bed, a little couch, and a desk. It's very roomy. Nice.. This is awesome!
Drake opens the door to his room and sees the PS4 and 70' TV.
Drake: Nice. He telekinetically opens the door to the bedroom and lies down on his bed and starts texting on his phone
Isaac enters his own room with the PS4 and 70' TV.
Issac: Hmm. I kind of want an Xbox 1 too. Maybe later. Goes to the bedroom and turns on the TV to watch some anime as he spins his guns around out of boredom
There is then announcement going through all the dorms
Mrs. Chambers: Hello everyone! It's your principal Mrs. Chambers and all students are to come down to the gym for practice fights! Bring whatever you need! See ya there!
Kai stops eating then puts on his clothes again and heads out to the gym with his hands in his pockets.
Drake: Oh no. Drake heads over to the gym
Isaac: Sigh Fine. Turns off the TV as he holsters his guns and walks to the gym
At the gym[]
Everybody is at the gym talking and joking around and then after a little bit Mrs. Chambers comes on the podium again and clears her throat. Kai is there and looks up at her.
Mrs. Chambers: Hello everyone! This is the entrance exam kinda thing! This will determine what class you'll be put in, and what groups you'll be put in for missions. So we have set up certain battles that will hopefully be entertaining for you all. So try your best and good luck.She walks off the podium as lots of guys swoon over her sexy body. She then calls a lot of people up then finally calls Kai's name. Kai West against Michael Trainer.
Everyone starts cheering for Michael as he goes up to the arena and when Kai goes up there only a little number of people cheer.
Michael: Hey, you should watch how I'm about to kick your ass! The students "Ooooh" in intimidating but Kai keeps smiling.
Kai: Well I guess so. Have a nice fight man. He sets up his attack stance as Michael sets up his.
Mrs. Chambers: Like always, begin whenever you're ready.
Michael: Spear maker!!! Michael creates multiple spears around him and then flings them at Kai which he easily steps around then hears Michael shout once more. Katana dances!! He then forms Katanas in his hands and runs at Kai with lots of speed and slashes multiple times at him.
Kai: You're pretty fast! He dodges all the slashes then grabs the blades of his swords and sends lightning (yellow) through it electrocuting Michael until he falls to his knees. But not fast enough. He smirks then turns away. Suddenly 2 tigers launch towards Kai from behind, and he turns around and jumps while taking one step on each of their heads and landing.
Michael: Heh... Don't let your guard down... The tigers instantly seem to teleport behind Kai and they jump in the air in unison and are about to bite Kai.
Kai: I haven't. Suddenly right before they chop his head off clean, they explode in electricity with high volts going through their bodies in while still in mid-air and then they flop to the ground dead. Kai then bends down to pick up Michael's sword by the blade again, throws it in the air to catch it by the handle and points it to Michael's neck. I won this. He throws the sword aside and smiles around at the whole crowd as they are in disbelief and he walks off the stage.
Mrs. Chambers: W-Wow! Interesting win by Kai West! Well, next up is Isaac Cacciatore against Benjamin Shredder.
Everyone cheers for Ben as he steps up to the stage, while Isaac just walks up there calmly.
Benjamin: You're going down, loser. Cryo Swords! Two long-swords made of ice appear on his back, and he draws the left one because he's left-handed
Isaac: Whatever. Draws Hikari and Umbra, then spins them around once and prepares to fight
Mrs. Chambers: Like before, whenever you're ready.
Benjamin: Alright. Take it!!! Charges Isaac with his sword
Isaac: Nope. Shoots the sword apart with his guns, then holsters them as he takes Sedici out and attacks Ben with it
Ben: No! Counters with the other sword, but it breaks because he's not used to fighting right-handed *Shit, how does he know I can't fight right-handed?!?!* Cryo Warfare!! When he says this, a thin layer of ice appears on his forearms, allowing him to use any weapon that he can make out of ice. He then creates an ice shield on his left hand then forms an ice knife to attack with
Isaac: You're weak with your right hand. You should use it more. Kicks Ben away as he switches hands and uses Ascia to break Ben's shield
Ben: Surprise!! Tries to stab Isaac
Isaac: *Shit, Hikari don't fail me now.* Takes out Hikari and shoots the knife just as it makes contact with his skin, giving a minor cut as the knife is shot Good. Elbows Ben in the face, knocking him back
Ben: Shit. Ha! Creates a moving ice clone who mimic Ben as he creates another long-sword to fight with Ice Doppelganger. Not gonna get so easily this time. Cryomancer, engaged. Cryo clone, attack! The ice clone attack Isaac with a knife as Ben himself attacks with the sword
Isaac: *Clone first, then the loser.* Switches Ascia with Umbra and spam fires the guns as a quick enough speed to make it seem as though they're an assault rifle, destroying the clone as he switches his aim to Ben's sword, putting to bullets in it as he switches to Ogama and counters Ben's attack I'm not an idiot.
Ben: Yes, you are! Another ice clone appears behind Isaac with a knife, about to stab him
Isaac: *Shit, he got me.* Kicks Ben away and spins the scythe around at a fast enough speed that it becomes a whir and cuts apart the clone Is that all you have?
Ben: Nope!! Three ice clones attacks Isaac while Ben sneaks behind Isaac
Isaac: *Idiot.* Swaps out Ogama with his guns, firing them at the clones at inhuman speeds and melting them as the projectiles are fire bullets. Literally, they're bullets of fire, then sweeps kicks a different clone and forms a shotgun to blow away another clone *Nice, shotgun. I should keep this as a weapon.* Blows apart the other two clones as he jumps into the air and round house kicks Ben in the face, making him kneel
Ben: *Shit that hurt!*
Isaac: I win. Restrains Ben with handcuffs made of fire We're done here. *My reactions were in overdrive today. Are my powers becoming more powerful?* Walks away as the crowd is evenly cheering and booing at him
Mrs. Chambers: An excellent battle. Quite an interesting use of Creation and Elemental Magic from Isaac. Well anyway, next is Jack Gold against Drake Wilson.
Drake: Oh come on. Seriously? You're putting an athlete against a human breadstick?
Mrs. Chambers: You have to take part Mr. Wilson.
Drake walks on the stage at the same time as the living mountain Jack Gold
Jack: Hey chopstick! Give up now if you don't want to die!
Drake: Smirks I don't mind. Let's begin.
Jake turns his legs into rocky stone-like legs and jumps into the air then turns into a big steel ball and lets gravity carry out his attack. When Jake lands on Drake, he turns back to human form and realises he just landed on Mrs. Chambers as her dead body starts bleeding
Jake: Oh no. I'm sorry!! What have I done?! It was an accident!!! From behind, a chair hits against Jake which breaks it against him. Drake hit the chair on him. Mrs. Chambers dead body disappears as Mrs. Chambers is standing off stage perfectly normal looking confused. The crows is looking confused at what Jake just said
Jake: What the hell?!?
Drake: It was an illusion dumbass. You should've seen your face! Hah!!
Jake: Stupid!! He turns around while swinging his arms as him arm turns to steel. As he hits Drake, Drake's body turns to a gas and Drake reappears infront of Jake then punches Jake's face
Jake: OW!! What the hell?!? How did you do that!?!
Drake: Magic...The room turns dark as if the power went out then suddenly a flame appears in the distance. Jake runs to it and punches it thinking it's Drake but then the room lights up and Jake just punched the wall and hurt his hand
Jake: CRAP!! Stop messing with my head!!
Drake: Nah. Drake picks up a chair with telekinesis and smashes it against Jake's head, stunning him then he creates several clones of himself all throwing chairs at Jake. Jake attempts to break them but they go through him and dissappear except one which turns into a table and slams against his skull, successfully knocking him out
Drake: Haha. Idiot.
Mrs. Chambers: Uhhh...what happened? He just was punching the air? Anyway, Drake wins! The audience doesn't know to cheer or boo as Drake walks off the stage smirking
Mrs. Chambers calls more students to battle then eventually let's all the students leave.
Mrs. Chambers: Alright everyone! That concludes today's matches! We'll have your results to you guys as soon as tomorrow and then you guys can begin your classes and missions in your assigned groups! See ya! She smiles as Kai pasts her and Kai smiles awkwardly back and blushes. He then sees Isaac and catches up to him.
Kai: Sup man...
Isaac: Not much. Nice fight though. Twirls Hikari around then holsters it as the shotgun appears Hmm. What to name you? Oh, I got it. Ikiryo. Japanese for wraith.
Kai: Nice gun and thanks. Same to you, you owned that kid. By the way, do you know how old Mrs. Chambers is?
Isaac: For a principal of her appearance, I'd say mid-twenties? Maybe 25? I don't know or care. Why?
Kai: U-Uh, no reason. Anyway, where you headed man?
Drake walks in and interrupts
Drake: Hey Kai, your fight was pretty good.
Kai: Oh, thanks man! Your's was really fucking awesome. The way he was punching the walls and the air and shit! He mocks Jake's way of fighting and laughs. Illusion magic wasn't it?
Drake: Yes it was. And you used electricity in a fascinating way. The way those tigers died was very...bloody.
Kai: Heh... It was! Anyway, where ya headed?
Drake: Nowhere. You?
Kai: Eh, bout to go to the food court. I'm hungry as fuuuuuck! Oh and Drake, meet my friend Isaac.
Drake: Hello Isaac. Nice to meet you.
Isaac: Caiossu. Nice to meet you.. uh... Drake. Twirls his guns around then holsters them That's such a bad habit. I'm might go to the food court too. I'm hella hungry.
Drake: Yeah uh...I'll meet you guys there. He takes the long way there. He shows relief as he goes out their sight and he suddenly shrinks 2 inches, before he was taller than them but he is actually shorter. He was using his powers to appear taller. He then goes to the food court
Kai: Alright! Kai goes to the food court and sits down at the donut shop. He orders a chocolate donut with rainbow sprinkles and sits to wait for his friends.
Isaac: Well. Goes to the pizza place, orders a large cheese with extra bacon and olives, gets his food, then goes to get a root beer float at the soda bar, then sits down next to Kai as he starts eating his pizza My pizza. Leave me and it alone. Brings his food closer to him as he takes a sip of his root beer Ah, Dante. Where's Ebony and Ivory when ya need 'em? Wait, you don't get the reference. He looks around and sees his crush sitting at another table nearby *Oh shit. She's here. Nice.* Pizza is awesome. Eats another slice
Drake materialises sitting next to them with his food as if he teleported there
Drake: Hey guys.
Kai: Sup, you can teleport now? Someone gets him his donut and he starts to eat it. He then gets up to get a Mountain Dew and sits back down while opening it and taking a sip.
Drake: Heh no. What are you talking about. Ask Isaac. I just casually walked over here. You're seeing things. Smirks
Kai: Uhhhh... Isaac?
Isaac: Hai. He walked over here like it was a Saturday stroll in the park. You must be seeing things. Maybe his Magic is Mental magic. Finishes his large pizza. A LARGE pizza. Which is about 16 inches in diameter. Then finishes his root beer float I'm gonna do some working out. Pizza's carb-heavy. Sayonara. Gets up and walks to the gym to practice his melee skills
Kai: Wow... He gets quiet and makes a vow with himself.
Drake: Dude, it's alright, I'm a highly skilled illusionist so don't get shocked if you get tricked by me.
Kai: I'll have to train my mind strength then... There might be other illusionists like you that would've already killed me... I gotta be prepared. Got to go. He leaves to go back to his dorm room.
Drake: Time to play some video games. Heads to his room
The next day[]
It's 6:00 am and the speaker turns on and Mrs. Chambers is on the other line.
Mrs. Chambers: Alrighty everyone! Wake up! Wake upp!! We're waking you guys up a bit early because of the class selections today! Wakey Wakey everyone!
Kai starts to groan as he wakes up.
Kai: In a groggy voice Geez... Why so damn early..
Drake is still half asleep
Drake: 3 hours sleep. Fucking perfect.
Isaac gets up still a little asleep.
Isaac: Yawns I set my alarm to 6:45. That's more than 30 minutes earlier. Fuck. Gets out of bed to get ready for school
Kai gets ready and heads out, still tired as hell. He goes to the auditorium.
Isaac walks out of his room, ready, then he walks to the auditorium adjusting his coat he put on.
Drake walks out, using an illusion to hide his tiredness
At the assembly at 6:15[]
Students are still gathering and nearly everybody is complaining about it being early. Kai arrives there with a soft office chair, and leans back in it. Everyone looks at him like he's crazy but he just closes his eyes and dozes off.
Drake leans against the wall, closing his eyes but causing an illusion making him appear as fully focused.
Isaac just sits down in a chair, arms folded as he relaxes.
Mrs. Chambers walks up to the podium smiling and looks around at everyone groggy and tired.
Mrs. Chambers: Well! Good Morning everybody! Well, now we're starting. So I when I say the teacher's name and then your names, you can go to the teacher standing or waving their hands towards them. This is for when you guys are going out on missions. You need teams ya know. Now I will begin! She begins to call out names and then finally gets to Kai.
Random Student: Hey, Kai, she called your name. He pushes Kai in his chair to make him wake up.
Mrs. Chambers: Kai West. Is he awake? Okay. You will be with Mr. Salago. Next is Drake Wilson. Drake?
Drake opens his eyes and goes to his teacher
Mrs. Chambers: Alright, next is Isaac Caccitore.
Isaac walks to his teacher.
Mrs. Chambers: Now, Ally Guidorizzi. She goes to the group. And lastly for Mr. Salago's group, Niomi White. She goes into the group.
Kai: Hey guys... He rolls over to them in his chair
Drake: Hey. So uh. Look a dinosaur!! All the students get shocked as a T-Rex breaks through the wall
Isaac takes out his guns and aims them at the T- Rex in one swift motion, and quietly too.
Kai: Whoa whoa whoa, Isaac, put your guns down. Isn't it obvious it's an illusion?
Isaac holsters his guns as he puts up his hood up.
Ally: That's an illusion?! It looks so realistic.
Kai: I'm pretty sure. He stares at it Why else would a dinosaur bust through the school. They aren't even alive anymore. And let me guess. He walks to the wall and tries to walk through the opening but gets stopped by an invisible barrier. Walls not really broken.
Drake: The illusion disappears I was just bored. Flexing my powers. It worked for most of you. Looks at Kai
Kai: Haha, you could've done better.
Mr. Salago: Hello students, my name is Phil Salago's and I'll be the teacher of your group! You have already received your schedules for your periods so you can go there now when you finish introducing each other! We will meet at 2:00 and start with a little missions. You are all in this group because you are special. Now see you guys later! He walks off waving after he hands them a piece of paper containing his room number.
Issac: Huh. Didn't know that a teacher could just walk off like that. I guess you two girls should introduce yourselves.
Ally: Oh, okay. I'm Ally Guidorizzi. Nice to meet you.
Kai: Maybe he's busy and has to get to first period. Anyway, nice to meet you all I'm Kai West.
Drake: Drake Wilson.
Girl: Niomi White.
Isaac: I'm Isaac Cacciatore.
Kai: So what's everyone's first period?
Drake: P.E.
Isaac: History.
Kai: Nice, nice, mine is AP Bio. Well, what about you ladies?
Niomi: I have Maths.
Ally: I have history too. We should probably get going, or else we might get in trouble.
Isaac: I guess. He and Ally leave to go to their history class
Kai: Same. Kai leaves for his AP Bio class.
Drake: Soooo uh...
Niomi: W-we should go...
Drake: Yeah. Drake turns invisible and leaves
Niomi: Weird...She leaves
One week later....[]
Kai and the rest of the team are on a mission to search for a Witch named Waka. She's dangerous and has to be found, so they are looking in an underground cave.
Kai: She should be here somewhere. He's searching around
Isaac is looking around quietly, his guns ready to shoot.
Drake tries to read her mind but can't find her
Drake: She must be really skilled. She enchanted this whole cave to mask her presence.
Isaac: She's either here, or not. Where could she be? Continues looking around
Ally: Maybe she tricked us and lead us into a trap.
Kai: Eh, I'm sure she's here. My electricity can pick up a disturbance here, but can't identify the location. You guys just wanna split up?
Drake: No. If we split up she'll pick us off one by one. This place is almost a magical dead-zone. Meaning we can't recharge our magic much here. Our attacks are a little weaker too.
Kai: Tch... Suddenly they here lots of shouting and lights coming from the tunnel on the left Woah... It's sounds like there's multiple people there.... We should go... He starts to dash down the tunnel without using his electricity for speed
Drake: Crap. He hovers over there but not full flight
Isaac follows by creating glove constructs and boot constructs which allow him to fly after the two. Ally runs after them shortly afterwards.
They arrive at a strong magic field and a blast pushes throws aside some kids that seem their age. It's revealed to be Michael and a couple others. Kai stops Michael from flying but he gets up tumbling.
Michael: M-My magic!! She changed our magic!! Julliane, what'd magic you get?!?
Julliane: I got Creation Magic! She makes a small blade. Fuck I can't do anything with it!
Michael: He creates an ice shard in his hand. I got ice...
Julliane: That's my magic! I also have enhancement!
Michael: SHIT THIS IS LAME!!! HEY LADY SWITCH US BACK!!
Other Teammate: Yea!!!
Waka the Witch: Hehehe, fools... She makes chains bind up everyone but Kai comes in and slices through all the chains with his electricity.
Kai: The magic is so rich in here... I can feel my power rising... How are you doing this?
Waka: Simple potions... Ya know, the usual. That's when spears with chains attached to them try to hit Kai but he jumps out of the way.
Kai: You're not getting me as easily as the others...
Michael: Hey Kai! I don't need ya help! He conjures an ice gauntlet on his arm and dashes quickly behind the witch but gets blasted far away.
Waka: Hahahahah! It's amusing watching you kids try to fight me!
Isaac appears in front of Waka, pulls out Ikiryo, aims it at her head, and fires an elemental 16-gauge buckshot in her face. He also use the recoil to fly back to a safe spot way from her.
The smoke disappears and you see Waka laughing as her body is blurry then becomes unblurry.
Waka: Oooh, almost! Your attacking was too predicting though. She forms minions which then run fast to attack everyone.
Drake stares at her eyes and makes the minions disappear then a cave in to occur
Waka: Stupid kids... That was at least better than the other team! Suddenly her arm freezes and then Michael appears behind her to stab her with the gauntlet but on the other arm.
Michael: I'M NOT AS BAD AS MY TEAM! He stabs her through the arm HEY LIGHTNING BOY
Kai: Hm, you ARE talented! He shocks a lightning bolt at Michael's arm and the current goes through his body into Waka and she screams and she gets electrocuted with yellow lightning. (His usual lightning)
Waka: Let's see how strong you are after this! She blasts them back then she charges a spell in her hand. She causes a huge energy explosion which causes everyone except Drake to fall to the floor and lose their powers temporarily. Drake starts struggling in pain as he glows then starts flying. He lets off a mini explosion of energy then falls to the floor unconscious
Kai: GAH! He gets up struggling and tries to shoot lightning but nothing happens. What...did...you DO!
Isaac: That bitch! Gets up and draws his guns, but they won't appear What?! What the hell did you do, you slut?!?!
Waka: Haha!! I blocked off your magic!! Hahahahaha!!!
Kai: YOU WHORE!!!! He begins to run at her trying to generate a bit of lightning but cannot muster any. MY MAGIC ISN'T GONE!!!!!! He's running and then she starts to laugh.
Waka: STUPID CHILD!!! She summons a bunch of swirling vines with thorns that spin around toward Kai but then he musters up an ounce of lightning that increases his agility enough to make his body move out the way of the incoming vines then jumping at her to punch her square in the face.
Kai: RAAAHHH!!!! *Shit! I'm out...* Waka flies back into the wall then her eyes glow and she blasts magical energy at Kai, sending him into a far wall and nearly knocking him unconscious.
Waka: Y-You... You're interesting...
Drake awakens as his eyes glow with purple magic energy and he gets up, covered in neon
Drake: You...bitch...what did you do to me?
Waka: What? What's wrong with you stupid child?!? Why is your magic still here?!?
Drake: I don't know...I feel very weird...Drake looks around and sees the magical energy flow around like dust. There isn't enough to allow unskilled Mages to cast spells. He then sends out a flow of energy filling the room with the neon dust particles.
Drake: Woah...
Waka: What the?!? How did you create the magical energy?!? Only Energy Mages can do things like that! Are-are you one of them?
Drake: No, I'm a Mental Mage...
Waka: *He might have just unlocked it...strange, those types of Mages are extremely rare. I can't let him live!* Waka fires a bolt of energy at Drake but he senses and dodges it instinctively via a back handspring then charges a glowing red-black energy in his hand and throws it at her. Mid air, the energy turns into a symbiote like wire trap and wraps around Waka, pulling her to the floor and tightening, giving her severe pain
Waka: AHHHH STUPID CHILD!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!?
The magical energy Drake created recharges the others
Kai: Argh... What'd you do? He gets up and feels magical energy flowing inside of him faster. Hey... You gave us magical energy didn't you... I can feel magical energy from outside flowing into me! He looks at his hands and suddenly sparks start flying around him. He gets ready to release some lightning when Michael sudden freezes her and most of the cave they were fighting in.
Michael: This is kinda awesome... Suddenly a giant explosion knocks everyone back while Waka's hair is glowing purple as well as her eyes.
Kai: Hmph. He sends out a blast of electricity which she absorbs until, to her surprise Kai is at the end of the blast and he starts punching and kicking her so many times as she cannot counter and then kicks her into the wall. He does that so hard that the whole cave shakes and rumbles a bit. Issac!
Isaac: On it!!! Takes out his guns, and shoots Waka's arms and legs, then throws her to the ground as magical flame restraints appear and restrain her You... Picks up Waka as he aims his left gun at her head Have the right to shut the fuck up and stop being a bitch. Someone take care of her.
Waka: Stupid kids...She sneezes as a gust of winds nudges Isaac back and she vanishes in magical energy
Kai: Tch, you had ONE job Isaac... He dusts himself off
Michael: Great... Now how're we gonna find her? Him and his teams begins to head out.
Isaac: What purpose can fire do? It burns. And destroys. I could've killed her right then and there. Is that what you'd have preferred? Because I have weak binding magic.
Kai: Eh, not really sure... Anyway... Let's head out... He instantly disappears in lightning speed
Isaac: So be it. Follows by using his fire to propel him
Drake follows still confused as to what happened to him
Drake: *What did she do?!? Did she curse me? I should read her mind, find her skills, because it looks as if she has the same powers*
3 days later[]
Kai is walking down the hall and gets a drink of water from the water fountain. He is holding his books and binders in one hand since he doesn't have a backpack. He then finishes and continues walking when he hears someone crying. No one else seems to hear someone crying loudly so he tracks down the crying to the Principal's Office. As soon as he reaches a certain point to the Office, the crying instantly stops and he hears a noise with the sound of a desk closing.
Kai: Argh my ears... How am I hearing all this... He then starts hearing lots of things going on in the hallway like people's conversations and and powers in classrooms being brought out. He stops when heading to the Office by a loud frequency but then after 10 seconds he seems to have mastered the enhanced hearing. For fucks sake...
He then heads into the Prinicpal's Office and sees Mrs. Chambers sitting down looking at Kai.
Mrs. Chambers: Kai West? What brings you to my office?
Kai: Oh... Sorry... I just heard someone crying and talking... I thought-
Mrs. Chambers: You heard someone crying then came here? Kai, it's the Principal's Office. Of course students are going to cry here, it's what happens sometimes.
Kai: Well it's weird... I heard a grown up voice crying and I heard from down the hall, so I wanted to see who it was, and I ended up here somehow. And that woman voice was crying pretty loudly. Well, to me it was, I didn't know I'd end up here.
Mrs. Chambers: *Wait, he doesn't have enhancement magic... How could he hear me from all the way over down the hallway?* Well no one was crying Kai. So pl-
Kai: Sorry to interrupt but as soon as I passed a certain point in the hallway when I was about to reach here, the crying instantly stopped and I heard a bunch of magic sounds that seemed to halt it... You were crying Mrs. Chambers... Why?
Mrs. Chambers: Heh, you're a smart kid... She looks down then up at him It's nothing though, just a little sad after he- I mean my favorite soccer team lost... Heh She smiles at him but he doesn't take it seriously
Kai: Mrs. Chambers, you said "him". What's going on?
Mrs. Chambers: Kai, I told you already. Now please, if you don't need anything get out of my office. I have people waiting outside my door.
Kai: Sorry... He leaves confused and goes to his final class with Mr. Salago.
He arrives early and sits down to go over his notes as people start coming in. That's when Michael from the other team comes in the class looking around.
Kai: Michael? What are you doing here? You're not in this class dipshit.
Michael: Shut up idiot, I got switched here.
Kai: The fuck?! Why?! And out of ALL classes, with you?!
Michael: Guess your class needs me. But don't really know for sure.
Kai: Whatever... He goes back to studying as Michael sits somewhere and waits for the class
Isaac walks in silently, sees Michael and HEAVILY resists the urge to form his guns and shoot him.
Isaac: *What the hell? Why him?* Sees Ben sitting next to Ally, but Ally is trying to ignore him What are you doing Ben?
Ben: None of your fucking concern. Leave us alone.
Ally makes a signal to Isaac saying: Help me.
Issac: *I'll try.* Walk over to a seat in between Ally and Ben
Drake is at the library with at least twenty books all over the place all related to Magic Classes. He's read all of them
Drake: *Seriously, is there absolutely no mage going through what I have that has wrote a book on it?!? Is this my second class of magic? This could seriously affect my future occupation!*
Random Teacher: Drake! What are you doing here?!? The bell's gone, you're late for class!
Drake: *Shit* Sorry sir, I'll go now. Drake heads to class and causes an illusion to make the teacher think he was there the whole time. He sits next at the back of the class
Ben: Hey, all the fags are here. Good to know.
Isaac: Gets up What did you say?
Ben: Nothing. Don't worry about it.
Isaac: I will if you mention me or anyone else you bully.
Ben: Just shut up and let me do my work.
Isaac sits down again, angry on the inside but calm on the outside.
Drake makes an illusion to Kai asking him if he knows what is going on with Drake's powers
Kai: Nah bro, no idea. Maybe you'll die from it haha.
Before class ends Mr. Salago announces they will be doing another mission to find a Cyromancer this time and too stop him before he does anything dangerous.
Mr. Salago: You guys up for it? The mission starts tomorrow and you guys need to be here on time to send you off.
Kai: Can't wait. He clenches his fist as lightning sparks from it.
Isaac: Interesting. He lights a fire in his palm, then clenches his fist to extinguish it
Drake: Oh god. *this guy better not do the same as Waka did*
The Next Day, at the Last Known Location of the Cryomancer[]
Mr. Salago's group is investigating the last known location of the dangerous Cryomancer for a clue to his location.
Isaac: Are we sure he's here? Forms his sword on his back
Drake: I can sense something. But it's hard. This is almost a magic dead zone.
Isaac: If you got something, then he's most likely here. Or maybe the Cryomancer is female. Mr. Salago, what gender is the Cryomancer we're after?
Mr. Salago: Victims say it's a male.
Kai: Hhmm, how can we possibly find this guy. Looks around the forest they are in but then Kai hears something moving. He acts like its nothing then points his finger towards the area in the forest and launches a single lightning bolt from his finger at the area. Comes running out is a wolf that seems to be crying and a hunter with two swords and 2 guns in his holsters yelling, "BANZAIIIIII" and they sprint across the path that the group is in.
Michael: What the hell? That was weird..
Kai: Tell me about it..
Isaac: Are the people here normally like that? Or have they gone insane?
Drake: Something tells me that guy was the most sane thing that inhabits this forest.
Michael: Are we going to do anything about this? Look at the girls, they're bored as fuck.
Kai: Hmm... He dashes down the path and comes across multiple paths
Michael: Fuck! We don-
Kai: He sends out electricity to act as signals then concludes the third path on the left. There. I sense something down there...
Michael: Heh, finally... Michael goes to follow Kai down the path as Mr. Salago also follows.
Drake walks beside Mr. Salago alone and asks him a question
Drake: Mr. Salago, I have a question. Can a Mage gain a second class without training?
Mr. Salago: No. Only with intense training can a mage unlock a second class. A mage can only learn two classes. The one they're start with and one they choose.
Drake: Are there any exceptions to that?
Mr. Salago: Yes. If a mage's ancestors had connections with one of the magical beings that once existed then they would have the same magic as that being used. Meaning they can unlock both magic classes the being used naturally because they are born with it within them.
Drake: *Hmmm were my ancestors connected to a magical being....maybe that's why we are naturally good at thievery and trickery...they probably gained magic from a deity...Hermes. That means I could learn God Slayer Magic* Thanks for that Mr. Salago.
Mr. Salago: No problem Drake.
Drake walks down the path Kai went
Isaac follows silently, engulfing his hands in fire in case he needs to fight.
Isaac: *I always have wondered... why do I bother using weaponized constructs when I have such high elemental magic capabilities? Is it because I prefer melee weapons? No, I use guns too. I wonder if I can transform.* The fire engulfing his hands suddenly transforms both of them into a scaly, reptilian form, but quickly disappears *What? What the hell was that?* The fire reappears, engulfing his forearms once again
As Mr. Salago's group continues down the path, they enter a wide, open area surrounded only by trees. They stop in the middle of it as suddenly, the way the entered is blocked by a sudden glacier appearing out of thin air. Soon after this, the trees all suddenly freeze up as a mysterious man steps out of one of the frozen tree.
Mysterious Man: Welcome. To a frozen hell.
Isaac: You are? The flames engulfing his hands grow more, covering both of his arms
Mysterious Man: You'll find out soon enough. The frozen forest returns back to its original form as the man himself turns into an ice statue and fragments apart
Isaac *Ice, huh? I'll have plenty of fun burning him alive.* His fire-engulfed arms suddenly become scaly and reptilian, taking on the appearance of a Salamander, slowly spreading to his chest
Ally: Isaac, are you okay? You're changing... in a weird way.
Isaac: Huh? What do you mean? Looks at himself and sees his transformation *Shit, shit! What the hell is this?* He grabs a few of the ice fragments to melt off the transformation, returning to normal *What the fucking fuck is this shit? And that ice guy, was he a Cryomancer? Only a Mancer-class Mage has the capabilities to freeze an area this big. Damn.* Anyone have a clue as to who that weirdo was? Aside from the obvious Cryomancer part.
Drake: I don't know but he seems to already know us. Probably planning something behind our backs. He said we'll find out soon enough. That's a bit worrying.
Isaac: Agreed. I have a very bad feeling about all of this. He seemed like an evil Mage. That ice froze at an unnatural rate, even for a high-level Cryomancer.
Drake: He seemed augmented. Like his powers were fueled by a secondary source. Because I couldn't detect his energy. Probably a Dark Mage. But nah, that's crazy. They don't exist anymore.
Isaac: Right. After that Dark Mage Genocide, Dark Mages shouldn't exist anymore. It's been a long time. *I wonder. Why do I have so much fire?*
Kai: Guys... Hears a large stampede Can no one else hear this? Suddenly a stampede of ice soliders come running from the trees, mowing them down, and Kai runs forward to strike the round with lightning and make the ground explode GO!
Drake: Shit Cryomancers! They must work for the other guy. They have a significantly weaker magical output. Let's hold them off! Mr. Salago, we got this, get the others out of here! Drake sends emotional pain through their heads, making some of the weak minded ones fall to the ground in emotional outbursts of depression and some to throw tantrums and attack each other in rage Kai, subdue the cry babies!
Kai: He stomps his foot on the ground make electricity rise up from underneath them and electrocuting them to the point of paralyzation
Drake: Great, now Isaac, do something about the stronger ones!
Isaac uses his fire to melt the armor off the stronger ones, then manipulates it into knocking them into the ground repeatedly by forming fire hands to smash them.
Issac: Next?
Drake: Kai, retrace their steps from where they came from. That can help us find their base or hideout or something.
Kai: Good idea. *Wonder how well my nose can smell now...* He gets on the ground and smells their armor and the starts walking with his nose to the ground into the woods
Michael: Weird, but is like a dog...
Kai eventually finds an ice entrance to a place and signals everybody to come over as he wipes his face of dirty.
Kai: Well that was easy...
Drake: Good job. Now Isaac. It's gonna be cold in there. Throws a rock in the cave as a the rock freezes instantly with ice crystals growing Dangerously cold. Supply us with some heat will ya.
Isaac: Sure. You want a campfire for some s'mores with that? Lights a fire in his hand and throws it in front of him, summoning an Ifrit to keep them warm and light the way
Drake: *Oh great, fucking demons.* He starts walking down the cave followed by the rest of the small group. They come across some more Cryomancer mages Urg. He focuses on a small portion and makes all them feel mental pain and suffering till they fall unconscious
Kai: Whoa, there's so many of them... He dashes at lightning speed at some of them but instantly gets stopped by a magical barrier that the Mages put up. AGH! It completely turned off my magic for a second and it felt like it was ripping my body apart....
Drake: Shit. He holds one hand out and blasts some energy at the barrier but it does nothing but vibrate. He does it a couple times then uses both hands and gets pissed and shoots a huge explosion but still nothing FUUUCK!!! They're hiding something huge here and we gotta find it!!!
Kai: Dammit!!!
Suddenly someone walks from the other side of the barrier with Mages at their side. It then seems to be the Cyromancer they all earlier.
Cyromancer: You really think you could come in here and disturb me? Wow. I suggest you and your students to get out of here before it gets dangerous. They're too young and inexperienced to be in here.
Kai: YOU BASTARD!!!! He runs at the barrier with an electrified fist but gets blasted back.
Cyromancer: Stop being so persistent kid. This barrier nullifies all magic that tries to come through, and by the way if you didn't remember you're full of magic. Idiot... You're only a regular mage.
Kai: Hey... You've been doing some fucked up shit. I'm not gonna let you go THAT EASILY!!! He runs at the barrier again and then pushes into it, his whole body feels like its ripping apart cell by cell. GRAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Cyromancer: This boy...
Kai: ARGHHHH!!!! RAAHHH!!!!
Michael: T-The hell?!
Kai then makes a fist as he can't go anymore through the barrier and his elbow sparks as it's outside the barrier. His elbow then creates and shoots an intense burst of lightning boosting the striking power of his arm and passing it through the barrier and punching the Cyromancer so hard that he flies several meters into the ice palace. Kai's body is now halfway through the barrier as it dissipates and he's huffing and puffing and then smiles creepily.
Kai: Huff I'm not a regular human Heh... Huff
Drake: Holy fuck. *Maybe I could manipulate something like that barrier...maybe...still don't know what the fuck happened to my powers...* Kai, you crazy mofo, the magic is not normal, it can kill you, it's cursed! Don't think you're some special snowflake, don't pass through it like that! Be careful bro.
Kai: Heh... Shut up, I know what I'm doing... He stretches his back and legs then keeps going Let's go! Don't fall behind... *I kinda don't feel that bad... Even though I just passed through a fucking magical barrier...* He slashes an electric sword at the other mages killing them then dashes along the ceiling of the palace.
Isaac *Damn, he's good with his magic. Time to help out.* Takes his sword out and charges in to attack and help Kai take out Mages, covering his sword in fire to enhance his attacks as his arm takes on the demonic form again, enhancing his strength
Drake: *Alright, time to use those techniques I learned* Runs out at a couple mages and dodges their ice attacks then punches them in their pressure points while at tge same time, manipulating the pain to enhance and cause even more damage putting them in a coma. He does this attack to several mages Hey Isaac! Put down that inefficient cutlass and do some actual damage! *this idiot thinks he's a regular human...why would a mage need weapons?!?* He punches the ground sending a wave out through the floor then suddenly a huge bear/rhino-like monster comes out through the ground and starts chasing down the evil mages Woah. Sucks to be them. Some evil mages stay but Drake mind controls one to start killing the others Uhhh, ladies? Care to assist us in OUR mission?
Niomi: Oh. Alright. You beat them all already.
Drake: *No shit* Well here come some more. *hmmm they seem to use the same source, a huge magic source, all being generated from this cave, it definitely isn't dark magic, but just some powerful magic... These guys will be tough. Strange, how am I sensing all this magical energy?*
Niomi dashes forward at incredible speeds and backflip kicks the head clean off a regular evil mage. One enhanced one is victim to the same attack but he simply grabs her leg and freezes her. He slows the area down by sending a mini blizard through the cave.
Kai jumps off the cleaning and slices the ice off clean as he rescues Niomi. He then puts her on the ground and builds up lightning between his two palms and points them to his sides as he blasts the walls with so much lightning that the ice palace entrance comes crumbling down.
Kai: Hehe, oops... A dude with black eyes comes towards him and Kai jumps over him, but the mage shoots ice up at him into his body but his durability doesn't let it pierce his stomach. Then Kai lands on the ground and shoots a bullet of lightning through the guy's heart at superspeeds and continues on. Suddenly he gets pulled back by an ice collar around his neck and it swings him across the Palace main floor to another guy with black eyes. Kai stops himself before he reaches the guy but he punches him in the stomach up into the ceiling and he falls down.
Random Mage: You're mistaken if you think you can- He suddenly gets kicked in the jaw then brought to the ground as an ice sword gets stabbed through Kai's arm.
Kai: AGH! The mage from behind runs up behind Kai and blasts some ice into his back the the mage in front kicks him in he stomach then suddenly a magic circle appears above Kai. *WHAT?! A MAGIC CIRCLE!?* Suddenly an ice pillar comes out and drives Kai into the floor hard.
Isaac: Ally! Enhance my magic real quick! Cuts through the ice armor and kicks him hard. The guy gets back up and kicks Isaac, who gets knocked down Alright. Let's go asswipe. Isaac gets up and punches him, but who blocks. They then have an intense hand-to-hand martial arts fight, which ends with Isaac jumping over him, then kicking him in the side with enough force to break his ribs *Well, Kai just got stabbed. Maybe I should help out.* Throws a fire crescent at the ice blade, melting it as he moves in quick to round-house kick the guy who stabbed Kai
Ally enhances Isaac's magic and bodily functions, speeding up his reflexes to a higher level, making him react to everything quickly with no effort on his part.
Isaac: You good? Melts the pillar by stabbing his sword into it and releasing fire inside it to melt it, then holds out his hand to help Kai up
The second guy gets up and kicks Isaac out of the way.
Attacker: Sorry, am I interrupting something?
Isaac jumps back up and kicks him again, which causes another intense hand-to-hand martial arts fight. When the attacker is on the ground, Isaac takes out his gun and shoots the guy in the stomach with non-lethal ammo loaded.
Isaac: Well. That was fun. You good Kai? He holds out his hand to help Kai up
Kai grabs his hand and gets up. He then takes off his shirt which half gone due to that magical barrier and grabs it around his cut arm.
Kai: Let's go... He starts to go again as a giant ice block is speeding towards them. Watch out! He runs at it and hols out his hands to stop it and is getting pushed with it. He feels intense pain in his arm that's cut and feels like the bone could pop out. He then takes that arm off and uses his good arm to stop the ice block then sends a bit of lightning through it which causes it to explode. *For fucks sake! My arm is killing me!! I went through all that and im still going... Am I even normal?!*
Random Mage: Hehe, looks like your arm is out. He gets up from Isaac's kick and starts running towards Kai, he punches at him but Kai blocks it using is good arm and jumps to knee the guy in the face. The face instantly recovers and makes a magic circle under Kai's feet which makes an ice pillar shoot Kai up, but he uses his good arm to punch it and explode the ice once more. But as he did this, the mage is coming up at him and Kai steps on the guy's face and uses pressure to step off of his face and breaks his neck in the process. He then gets attacked by other mage with a few ice dragons coming at him but Kai's eyes glow yellow and sends electrical impulses through the air to destroy everything coming at him.
Kai: ARGH! FUCK!!! MY ARM HURTSS!!!! Before he starts to heal himself, someone comes from behind him but Kai turns around and starts having hand to hand combat with him but with his only good arm and successfully gets behind the guy and gathers enough lightning in his arm to punch him and a giant explosion occurs pushing everyone back. Kai is on the floor coughing as he gets up. GUYS!
Drake: Sorry, my powers aren't as...physical as yours. He creates an illusion of a T-Rex that scares some mages before they attack us. The ones that weren't afraid were tricked into thinking their powers stopped working *Heheh* An Ice mage runs at him from behind which he kicks in the stomach to stun then he grabs it's head with both his hands and sends an impulse to his brain, making his brain-cells explode. He then scans the mind of some mages and projects their fears to fight them using telekinesis to make them seem "physical" *Oh great, a guy scared of clowns* He swings his arm, sending a telekinetic wave that causes all enemy mage's brains to explode, tiring Drake out Few, we have a few seconds to spare! We're close to a huge magical energy source, we'll be boosted but so will they, watch out.
Isaac: Well... Isn't that something? Let's move it then. Oh, Kai. Anyone able to heal? Or at least make it so that Kai is better and healed? His constructs disappear as his arms take on the appearance of an Ifrit *Guess I should use this instead. Seems better than whatever else I have.* Stretches out his arms for a moment Better.
Niomi: I can heal. Heals Kai's arm I'm more experienced in enhancing outside forces than myself.
Kai: He stretches and flexes his arm once it's healed Thanks Niomi!! We gotta go! Michael and some other group members are already heading down so Kai follows
