This is the list of characters from the Strongest Under Heaven series.

Characters (Strongest Under Heaven anime)[]

(NOTE: names with the * next to it are characters that were not shown in a fight)

S.U.H. Contestants[]

Hinamori's father. He was killed by Tenken in the S.U.H. tournament six years before the original setting.

A loud and beast-like man, ironically, his name means "Soundless Bird" in Japanese. He was only shown in episode 1 as Hinamori's first opponent.

  • Johnny* (Announcer 1)

The main announcer of the S.U.H. tournament. A well dressed man who sometimes get over excited about the fights. Also appears in game.

  • Nene* (Announcer 2)

The second announcer of the S.U.H. tournament. An adventurous girl who interviews the fighters and was also a former Race Queen of Japan. Also appears in game.

The principal of the school Hinamori and Ryo goes to. He is an easily angered man and almost always immidiately believe that Hinamori is the cause of a trouble in the school.

  • Natsu Hoshino* (anime only)

The best friend of Hinamori. She is a quiet girl who often follows Hinamori around.

  • Ryuji Taira* (anime only)

The student council president. He is a calm person who has trouble controling himself when ever there is trouble in the school.

  • Hanabi Raikuro* (anime only)

Hinamori's mother and the new master of the Raikuro Dojo.

  • Sakura Yamasaki (anime only)

Hanabi's brother and Hinamori's boss and uncle. He is a feminine man who owns a maid cafe and dresses like a butler. He is also a Raikuro martial arts teacher and is the childhood friend of Sousuke. It was shown that he is very frightening and often gets beats up rude customers before throwing them out, even Hinamori is afraid of him.

A 3rd-year student at Hinamori and Ryo's school. She is the richest student in the school and also one of the most athletic. She is number one in the Seven Idols list.

  • Yoshi Yamanaka* (anime only)

A freshman at Hinamori and Ryo's school who looks up to Ryo as a mentor and is usually seen following him. He has a crush on Hinamori but had gotten over it after he saw a new girl at the end of the season.

  • Hanabi Raikuro* (anime only)

Hinamori's mother and the new master of the Raikuro Dojo.

A Japanese-American private detective that shows up from time to time. He is an easy-going but serious man who knows how to fight in his own style. He likes to suck on lolipops known as Snow's, which can sometimes make people mistaken it to be a cigar; he also really treasures his fedora. Though he is playable in the game, he is only a guest character from the game, Ghost Crime.

  • Inspector Linkin*

The inspector of the LAPD and an old friend of John. He had once mistaken Hinamori to be a member of a Chinese mafia named the Black Lotus because of her fighting costume and the fact that she was seen knocking out someone; this mix up was later corrected by John and Ryo but not before she was put in a cell.

  • Isabelle Santigo*

Noel's younger sister and the cafe manager of the cafe that Hinamori likes to go to. She has a fear of dogs and often runs away from dogs even though they seem to be attracted to her.

  • Professor Igor*

A former member of Fake before it was destroyed by the S.U.H. corporation army. He is a genius who loves to create destructive machines and seeing them in action. He is S.A.M.'s creator and a man who hates to leave his lab.

A scientist who works for the S.U.H. Corporation. She had designed and built Halberd using the technology found from PF-09. She is a cheerful and young but very intelligent woman.

A Japanese-American agent who works for the CIA to investigate the New Laws as an undercover agent. He was discovered and imprisoned after he was threatened by Testarossa by a New Laws agent named Dreizehn.

  • Dreizehn

An agent for the New Laws who told The Colonel about Aragami. He was later killed by Futo after he infiltrated the New Laws base.
