D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. (Division of Espionage with Stragetic Tactics of InterNational Enforcement and Defense) is an organization dedicated to protecting the world from hostile threats anywhere from different dimensions to outer space. The organization is based on SHIELD.

Kindaiichi KurokamiEdit

He is the main protagonist of the series. He was born as Ace-Ra (エース·ラ Ēsu· ra) of the planet Superion, the dying planet of the Superians, a now almost-extinct race of superhuman aliens. He was recruited to D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. because of his superhuman powers and high intellect. He tends to be a thoughtful good-natured kind boy. Because of his good looks, he tends to be the object of affection to most of the female characters in the school, but tends to show awkward embarrassment when trying to stay in the friend zone. When he started his second year, a month after Ginrei's defection from D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D., he later gained a cold, indifferent, and uncooperative personality, just like Ginrei's, but later returned to his original good-natured personality, after his reunion with Ginrei realized that he's becoming like Ginrei. The character is highly based on Superman, Goku from Dragon Ball and typical shonen protagonists like Shinichi Kudo from Detective Conan, Ichika Orimura from Infinite Stratos, and Kirito from Sword Art Online.


Ginrei ShirakamiEdit

He is one of the main protagonists of the series, as well as it's anti-hero and foil character to Kindaiichi. He's Kindaiichi's rival in school and during missions. Born into the prestigious Shirakami clan and have the power of the clan's Kamigan (神眼; Literally meaning "God's Eye") ability. His personality is cold, indifferent, cruel, cynical, somewhat arrogant, unreasonable and devoted to his endless persuit of revenge for his clan's massacre. He is a capable combat fighter and uses fire and lightning spells to enhanced his fighting skills. His Kamigan ability let him to hypnotize people, cast illusions from his eyes, and summon flames from just his eyesight. He was Kindaiichi's partner during missions, but after seeing Kindaiichi powers surpassing his own, and can't pass the fact that he's inferior to Kindaiichi, he quickly went rogue soon after near the end of the first year of school. Just like Kindaiichi, his looks attracts most of the girls in school, unlike Kindaiichi, he tends to be cold to them and asks them to leave him alone. His character is based on Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto.

A beautifully cute and shy girl who's in love with Kindaiichi. It was revealed that she was Kindaiichi childhood friend, but Kindaiichi doesn't remember her much. She's a miko with high spiritual power.

A human-vampire hybrid who doesn't need blood to sustain herself. She's a bit of a ditzy girl, and tends to eat junk food a lot, which people wondered how does she never gained any weight. She's tends to be affectionate with Kindaiichi a lot, to the point that she want to kiss him each time, much to the dismay of the people around them. The oldest of the Misora twins. Her character is based on Yui Hirasawa from K-ON! and Momo Velia Deviluke from To Love-Ru.

She's a vampire-human hybrid who also doesn't need to drink blood to sustain herself. She tends to be a more reliable person than her sister. She also likes Kindaiichi, but tends to shy about it without expressing herself, but they both are in friendlier terms with each other. The youngest of the Misora twins. Her character is based on Ui Hirasawa from K-ON!.

A beautiful girl who is considered one of the best students in the academy, her combat and academic skills made her one of the academy's field agent. She is very skilled with a sword, so skilled that her attacks are super-fast in a blink of an eye. Because of her looks, brains, and sword skills, she is popularly nicknamed "Goddess of the Flash". She befriends Kindaiichi after their first mission together, but later develop feelings for him during their frequent mission times together. Her character is based on Asuna from Sword Art Online.

A girl who is Asuka's best friend, she's a great blacksmith in making magic weapons for D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. She dislike Kindaiichi when they first met, seeing him as a rude boy who doesn't know anything about weapong forging and creating, but during their mission together to obtain rare ores together, she seems to develop feeling for him. But she was shocked that her friend Asuka was interested in Kindaiichi too, and decided not to step down from her love of Kindaiichi. She shown to have a perverted side, like staring in another girl's body to estimate their measurements, and has a hobby of getting someone, mostly a girl, to cosplay in cute costumes. Her character is based on Lisbeth from Sword Art Online.

A young girl who's magic is to control both dog and cat familiars. She is in her 2nd year in the D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. Academy Middle school division. When she first met Kindaiichi, she foolishly went on a mission that was for high-ranking students to do, as she was in the situation of almost getting killed by a monster, Kindaichi rescued her, as she resembles his younger sister. She was ever grateful for him saving her life. She began to see Kindaiichi as an older brother figure, but that blossoms into developing feelings for him. Her character is based on Silica from Sword Art Online.

A young boy who is gifted with the ability of infinite good luck. He serve as a comic-relief in the series, from his ironic bad luck with the ladies to his perverted tendencies. He is terrible in academics, but excellent in combat situation, which is ironically enough because sometimes he gets stuck guarding others or run away when facing a very strong or scary opponent. Because of his good luck ability and perverted behavior, he is nicknamed "Lucky Pervert" or "Perverted Leprechaun".

A young computer genius who's a year younger than Kindaichi, he possesses Technopathic abilities. He was first introduced as a young programmer for Ryusei Industries, and was recruited into D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. as a liaison between D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. and Ryusei Industries. He is portrayed as a quiet, calm, rational, and stoic person, which makes him unnoticeable from time to time. As a running gag, he often gets unnoticed by his friends and sometimes he is a victim of Risa's cross-dressing cosplay from time to time. He is portrayed as a little brother figure to most of the older girls, and is uncomfortably being hugged by them. He later discover special particles that let him change his size. His character is based on Tetsuya Kuroko from Kuroko no Basket and Hank Pym.

A young girl who is a famous idol and the poster girl for D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. She seems to have a crush on Kindaiichi during his mission to be her bodyguard. Aside from being an idol, she was recruited by D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. because she comes from a line of powerful Japanese magicians, and and far from highly skilled.

She seems to develop feelings for Kindaiichi, after knowing they weren't really related. Her character is based on Suguha from Sword Art Online.

Her character is based on Ayase Aragaki from Oreimo.

She was one of the Superians who manages to escape Superion's destruction, she travels to earth, in search of Kindaiichi. Despite being blood-related, she harbors feelings for Kindaiichi. Her character is based on Supergirl.


D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. Academy Student CouncilEdit

The student council body that is in charge of the students affairs in the D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. Academy, like helping with the extracurricular clubs, maintaining the school's events, and deciding on difficulties of missions when posting mission requests for the students.

Because of her nice personality and cute appearance, she attracts a lot of male students. She is in love with Kindaiichi, and do everything to make him feel very comfortable, she does get a little jealous when other girls gets near Kindaiichi. She is also one of the few people who gets along with Ginrei. She is the student council secretary. She tends to be called "Alice" (アリス Arisu) by Kindaiichi, and she tends to call Kindaiichi "Daiichi" ("Daiichi-kun" in the Japanese version). Her character is based on Charlotte Dunois from Infinite Stratos.

The student council treasurer, who's one of the academy's top genius. Her short stature sometimes mistaken her for a child, but in fact she is a teenage girl, because of this she tends to get frustrated because of her small size. She is the only girl in the school who doesn't have any romantic link with Kindaiichi, but have a friendly-professional relationship with him. Her character is based on Suzu Hagimura from Seitokai Yakuindomo.

Gaia (ガイア)
The appointed Guardian of the Earth. He is in charge of the Earth in God's place, and watch over it. To become Earth's guardian, he purged his evil side, which eventually became King Ogopogo. it was later revealed that he is a Drakorian, a race of alien sorcerers from the planet Drakor. He is based on Kami from Dragon Ball.


OgopogoEdit

Son of King Ogopogo. He originally wanted to kill Kindaiichi for revenge of his father's death and continuing his legacy of conquering the world. But overtime he became one of Kindaiichi's most power ally, and helps defend the world with him. He is based on Piccolo from Dragon Ball.


Chieko ChiaiEdit

A girl Kindaiichi met during his second imprisonment inside DESPAIR's virtual world. She is later revealed to be an A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) created by Kohaku. Despite being an A.I. she has feelings for Kindaiichi. She is based on Chaiki Nanami from Danganronpa.


Zed-ZarEdit

Zed-Zar (ゼッド-ザー Zeddo - Zā) voiced by

A Superian and the son of General Zar. Zed and two members of his father's faction, Arc-Ra (アーク·ラ Āku· ra), who was Kindaiichi's long-lost older brother, and Top-Pa (トップ·パ Toppu· Pa), an experianced Superian soldier, had been working for the Planetary Trade Federation. But Zed later rebelled against the organization and joined up with Kindaiichi's group. He has a rivalry with Kindaiichi, because he thinks that a scientist's son (Kindaiichi), is supposed to be inferior to an elite soldier (himself). He is based on Vegeta from Dragon Ball.

ShinsengumiEdit

The elite Military Police that is established to defend Japan from terrorists and other threats. The group is descended from the real Shinsengumi.

His character is based on Sougo Okita from Gintama and Lavi from D.Gray-man, his name comes from Soji Okita and Yukimura Sanada.

A team of superheroes that D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. created as a response team to deal with threats that D.E.S.T.I.N.E.D. couldn't handled. The team is based on the Justice League and the Avengers. Kindaiichi Kurokami, Ginrei Shirakami, Joseph Godfrey, Takeshi Yamato, Yukimura Okita, Karen Krasnyy, and Robert Johnson are included as members of the Saviors.

Her character is based on Yui from Sword Art Online.

A sweet girl who is one of Japan's most popular idol who was once a schoolmate of Kindaiichi during his middle school days. She was trapped in DESPAIR's virtual world with Kindaiichi and some other kids. She has a crush on Kindaiichi. Her character is based on Sayaka Maizono from Danganronpa.

Tengujin Junichi (天狗神 順一)

The son of Hideaki Tengujin. He's an old friend of Kindaiichi. He's quite loyal to his father, up to the point where he is being manipulated by him. When he thought his father was killed by Kindaiichi, he then later donned his father's alter-ego as the second Tengu, and tried to kill Kindaiichi. But when he realizes his father's insanity and his manipulation, he turned on him. He was later killed when his father's glider impaled at him that was meant for Kindaiichi, and with his last breath apologized to Kindaiichi, as he died on his arms. He is based on Harry Osborn.

General ZarEdit

General Zar (一般 ザー Ippan Zā)
General Zar is a Superian warlord, who was once head of the Superion's Military, but during the days of Superion's imminent destruction, he initiated a coup d'état against the Superion's ruling council, but was thwarted by the Superian scientist Aeo-Ra, Kindaiichi's biological father. Zar and his factions were exiled and sent to the phantom dimension, an artificially-created prison, but vowed revenge on Aeo-Ra if he ever escape. He manages to escape and heads to Earth to tried to kill Ace-Ra (Kindaiichi), who was the son of Aeo-Ra, his mortal enemy, but was killed by Kindaiichi instead when he tried to kill some earthlings. He is based on General Zod.

King Ogopogo is the Great Demon King, who once terrorized the Earth. He is based on King Piccolo from Dragon Ball.

Is the CEO of Tengujin Corporation, one of the world's most powerful corporation next to Ryusei's and Yagami's. He's an ambitious man who's quite insane at the same time, and wants Kindaiichi's blood to help mass-produce super-soldiers for his company. He injected himself with a super-serum, and donned the super-villain identity the Tengu He is based on Norman Osborn.

SNAKE is an organization dedicated to conquering the world since World War II, it originated as one of the Nazi's science division. It is headed by the council of Ouroboros which are made up of the nine Hydra-ranked leaders, below them are the elite Cobra-ranked generals, the elite Anaconda-ranked commanders, the Python-ranked district leaders, the Viper-ranked elites, the special ops team Rattler, and the regular SNAKE foot soldiers. It is based on HYDRA, Kobra, and Cobra.

He soon tried to restart his coup in Heaven, but was defeated by Michael once more, and was thrown into space. There he learn the secret of the cosmic orb from Chaos, a powerful alien being, where he made a deal, if Lucifer starts an invasion of Earth and conquered it, Chaos wants the cosmic orb back in return. Lucifer began an alien invasion upon the Earth, but was quickly defeated by his brother Michael and his new allies the Saviors, he was soon imprisoned in Heaven's deepest dungeons for his war crimes. His character is based on Loki and the biblical character of the same name.
