Anime Verus! is a crossover video game between several anime series. These series however only are from the shorter anime series (with the exception for a few anime like Soul Eater and Higurashi etc.) and are not part of shounen anime, meaning they haven't appeared in the crossover video games based on Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Gameplay[]
It is an 3D environment fighting game, meaning that you can move and fight in all possible directions of a 3D battle field. There can be a maximum of four players during a fight.
Every character has a different set of moves, magic, weapons that can aid them in their combat. Everyone is able to battle against another character. For example characters without any special abilities like Rena Ryuugu should be able to fight against Mewtwo.
The current moves can be set in the character's profile, which you can edit before going into battle. n story mode it can only be done when not in a fight, in the pause menu, while in Versus, or similar modes it has to be done before the battle or just by customizing the characters in the roster without going into battle afterwards.
There is a level up system for everyone. The higher level you are the more and stronger abilities you obtain. It will not increase power etc. however. During fights you have a HP bar and a SP bar. The HP (Health Points) bar shows how much health you have left. The SP (Special Points) bar however shows when you can execute your special attack.

The game (currently) features a total of 82 characters from different anime. Also there is one special guest spawning from a video game, and 4 characters originating from an manga/comic-styled webcomic.

- Shiina: jumps in the air and throws either a shuriken, two knives or multiple pencils towards the opponent.
- Ryuji Suguro: chants a spell that protects the summoner.
- Izumo Kamiki: summons Byakko who then dash towards the opponent.
- Shura Kirigakure: launch projectiles made of air slices at the opponent.
- Amaimon: rides on Behemoth while damaging the earth underneath him.
- Black★Gold Saw: slows down the movement of the opposing players.
- Chariot (stage hazard): comes in on Mary and either slams down with its legs or fire giant macaroons at high speed.
- Shinka Nibutani: rushes at the opponent to strike them with two heavy punches.
- Sanae Dekomori: jumps up and slams with her hammer down on the ground huring anyone nearby.

- Monokuma (stage hazard): can appear with various executions based of the games.
- Ganta Igarashi: can be found fighting in the background of the bird cage.
- Minatsuki Takami: can be found fighting in the background of the bird cage.
- Nagi Kengamine: fires 'eyeballs' at the opponent that explode on impact.
- Karako Koshio: covers her body with blood and defends the summoner.
- Hibana Daida: will do a horizontal slash forwards, sword extends to reach the opponent.
- Bando (stage hazard): will shoot on the stage out of an helicopter.
- Dr. Kurama: can be spotted in the same helicopter.
- Mariko: will do a lot of damage to the opponents (only can be dodged by running around the whole time).
- Pumpkinator (stage hazard): will stomp on the ground in Halloween Town.
- The Lava Monster(stage hazard): will slam down on the ground with its cudgel.
